Trust Allah

As we embark upon this blessed month of worship, we’d like to remind you of a beautiful promise Allah has made to us: ‘Truly, Allah loves those who put their trust in Him’. [The Noble Qur’an, 3:159]

The spread of the Coronavirus in the last few weeks has exhausted, saddened and isolated many of us. But, this Ramadan, we are calling on you to let go of your fear, worry and confusion. Now is the time to trust in Allah and hold onto hope.

Hold onto Hope

This Ramadan will be unlike any other that we’ve experienced. The Prophet (saw) said, ‘Ramadan is the month of my Ummah’ – and yet, right now, we are praying, making du’a and breaking our fasts in our homes.

But even though we are physically isolated, we can still connect with others through our charity. Through our Sadaqah and Zakat we can give hope to our already suffering brothers and sisters. Now is the time to hold onto hope and give hope to others.

Help Save Lives

‘Whoever saves one [life] - it is as if he had saved humanity’ [The Noble Qur’an, 5:32]. Whether you give food to the starving people of Yemen, survival items to families in Syria, or water to an African village - always remember that you are helping to save lives.

The Prophet (saw) said, ‘Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity’ [Tirmidhi]. We pray the charity we give will save lives, protect us from calamity and ensure we reap the benefits of this blessed month, ameen.
