Right now, 830 mothers a day are dying from preventable causes (WHO). Our Motherkind maternal health campaign provides women in Afghanistan and Somalia, two of the most high-risk countries around the world, with comprehensive pre-natal and post-natal care.

Our local clinics provide trained midwives, dedicated delivery suites, vaccination programmes, medicines and vitamins as well as awareness-raising sessions on everything from nutrition to hygiene. Our Afghanistan clinic alone assists around 44,000 people each year.

Here's how your donation can make a difference:

• £60 can train three female health workers to support mothers and babies
• £100 can provide essential medical care to 20 patients (mothers and babies)
• £200 can provide essential medical care to 40 patients (mothers and babies)
• £500 can provide essential medical care to 100 patients (mothers and babies)

Your Zakat and Sadaqah will be used to support the vital work of our existing Motherkind clinics as well as helping us expand our services to other high-risk areas.
