The brutal conflict since April 2023 has forced millions of people to flee their homes, pushing the number of displaced people to around 11 million so far. The vast majority—over 10 million people—remain within Sudan, representing the largest displacement crisis in the world.
The UN is reporting acute shortages in food, clean water and medicine which has plunged millions into food insecurity, with children suffering the most.
