Press Release: Great Charity Gifts Launch!
We've launched an online Great Charity Gifts initiative to bring people closer together
UK charity Muslim Hands has launched its online initiative Great Charity Gifts in time for the blessed festival of Eid al-Fitr, which may fall on either Sunday 24th May 2020 or Monday 25th May 2020. Headed by its mascot Kamal the Camel, Great Charity Gifts is an easy way to give a gift to someone in need in the name of a loved one.
The selection of charity gifts is varied, caters to a range of price points and has something for everyone. Gift options include livestock, sewing machines, olive and fruit trees as well as school kits. The online initiative is easy to navigate through and once the chosen gift has been selected, an e-card is sent to give to your nominated friends or family.
To find out more or to purchase your gift which will help create a world without poverty visit greatcharitygifts.org.uk or call 0115 9117222.
Yasrab Shah, Muslim Hands Fundraising Director, said:
‘Our Great Charity Gifts platform is a great way to show loved ones you are thinking of them and doing something charitable on their behalf. During these difficult times many Muslims will be experiencing Eid in smaller groups and this initiative is aimed at bringing people closer together, creating conversation whilst making a difference to those less fortunate. We hope that our donors will use this positive platform to mark their celebrations and bring light into a world where there is so much darkness. As it mentions in the hadith ‘Give gifts to each other and you will love one another' [Al-Adab al-Mufrad]'.
