Masjid Al-Aqsa first lights have been lit!
Alhamdulilah, we are happy to announce that the first lights of our Masjid Al-Aqsa appeal have been lit!
We just received this video last night from Al-Aqsa, which shows the completion of the first part of the project. We still have £80,000 to raise, so please dig deep in the remaining days of Ramadan. Our aim is to have the whole lighting system up and running within the last ten days of Ramadan. Read more about the project here.
‘If one of us cannot visit it [Al-Aqsa], what should we do?’ He, (The Prophet, saw) said, ’Then he should make a gift of some oil to be lit therein [in its lamps]. For indeed the one who gifts this to it, will be like the one who has prayed therein.″ (Ahmad)
