In Memory of Their Daughter: Visiting the Halimah College of Excellence
19-year-old Halimah had only attended university for six weeks when she passed away. She had planned to work for an international charity after graduation. After her tragic death, her parents, family and friends set up the Halimah Trust, a non-profit organisation, which has since built a school and a college in Halimah's name in Wazirabad, Pakistan, in partnership with Muslim Hands.
Halimah's parents recently visited the Halimah College of Excellence at its inauguration, and saw in person the orphaned and disadvantaged girls the college will benefit in Halimah's memory:
