The ongoing curfew imposed in Kashmir since the removal of article 370 has left locals trapped in their homes and rates of accommodation, food and transport have increased fourfold. As a result, families are facing severe food shortages. Alhamdulillah, thanks to your generosity, our teams are on the ground responding to this emergency right now.
Our partners in Kashmir has over 25 years’ experience delivering aid in Indian-administered Kashmir and they’ve been granted special permission to carry out door-to-door deliveries of vital emergency aid and where possible in more rural areas, larger distributions.
