When is Eid al-Adha 2020?

Muslim Hands
When is Eid al-Adha 2020?

This year Eid al-Adha will be on Friday 31st July and continue for three days until Sunday 2nd August.

Eid al-Adha will mark the end of Hajj, the holy pilgrimage undertaken in the month of Dhul Hijjah on the 8th, 9th and 10th days of the month. Following the Day of Arafah on the 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, Eid al-Adha will start on the 10thday and end at sunset on the 12th day, signalling the end of Hajj. As we offer the Qurbani sacrifice during the period of Eid, we remember the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim (as) and his devotion to Allah (swt):

“And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, We called to him, ‘O Ibrahim, You have fulfilled the vision.’ … Indeed, this was the clear trial. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice…” (Qur’an, 37: 103-8)

As we therefore pass through this blessed holy period of the Islamic calendar, the Muslim Hands team would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and blessed Hajj and Eid al-Adha. May Allah (swt) accept all of those who undertake the holy pilgrimage and give Qurbani for the sake of Allah (swt).

Theres still for you to automate your giving on these blessed ten days.

Eid Mubarak!
