Assalaamu Alaykum!

It's a new year - a beautiful opportunity for a new beginning. 2020 has been a difficult year for us all, for many different reasons - but we should remain optimistic and hopeful that 2021 is a year of blessing and growth for us.

Alhamdulillah, it was a record-breaking 2020 for Muslim Hands. All praise is due to Allah first and foremost!

The Prophet (saw) said, 'He who does not thank the people is not thankful to Allah'. [Abu Dawud]

Your generosity helped us reach 3.5 million beneficiaries across the globe, supporting them through bread factories, water projects, housing projects, mosques, schools, training workshops, livelihood gifts & so much more! We are grateful for your continuous support and pray Allah gives you more & that He multiplies your reward.

This week, the blessed people of Syria received your winter kits, which will help them survive the harsh winter, in sha' Allah. Our teams in Yemen have been busy with food distributions and our teams in Sri Lanka have continued their income generation projects!

Let's take a look:

Bismillah, our teams in Sri Lanka supported more families by setting them up with small grocery shops! This will give families a regular income, allowing them to break the cycle of poverty and providing them with better opportunities, alhamdulillah!

May Allah reward all the donors for this beautiful donation!
Many people in developing countries have the skills and enthusiasm to generate an income for themselves, yet lack the opportunity to put it into practice - and this is where your donations make all the difference!
Abdullah ibn ‘Amr (ra) said, 'A man asked the Prophet (saw), "Which aspect of Islam is best?" He said, "Feeding people and greeting those you know and those you do not know"'. [Bukhari]

Our team in Yemen distributed emergency food parcels to 660 families in the Shabwah region. The people of Yemen are going through 'the worst humanitarian crisis in recent history' according to the UN - and your donations are helping to save lives!
‘And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, [Saying], "We feed you only for the Countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude”’. [The Noble Qur’an, 76:8-9]
This year, you finished fundraising to renovate the Bab al-Asbat wudhu area in the Blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa. These funds will increase the capacity of this main wudhu area, allowing up to 2,000 male and female worshippers to use the facility every hour!

The Bab al-Asbat wudhu area opened earlier this month, alhamdulillah. We pray that Allah accepts this from us all. Ameen!
We pray Allah opens His doors of mercy and gives us more opportunities to serve His Blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa, ameen!
Our MH Rawalakot office in Pakistan completed 23 water projects this week!

They are aiming to fulfil their target of 67 water projects within the next few weeks. This means 400 more families will have access to clean water in rural areas of Pakistan, alhamdulillah. Your donations will help reduce water-related diseases, improving their health, quality of life and so much more!
These du'as are priceless.

Whenever we speak to beneficiaries, they always make immense du'as for the donors. Only Allah knows the weight of these du'as and the impact it's had on our personal lives. Maybe it is these du'as that have saved us from a calamity or given us our blessings. When you give for the sake of Allah, Allah gives you back much more.
People living in rural areas now have clean water to make wudhu and pray easily because of your generosity. Imagine the reward you are earning!
The Prophet (saw) said, ‘The example of the believers in their affection, mercy and compassion for each other is that of a body. When one limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever’. [Bukhari]

Your winter donations have been reaching the blessed people of Syria, with distributions taking place this week, alhamdulillah. As you can see, these winter blankets and clothing will keep the young and elderly warm this winter.
The lands of Shaam were directly blessed by Allah, and the Prophet (saw) himself prayed for them, saying, ’O Allah bless us in our Shaam! O Allah bless us in our Yemen!’ [Tirmidhi]

May Allah accept all your merciful donations to the blessed people of Shaam!

If you'd like to see more of the work we've been up to around the globe, then do check out our social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

May Allah (swt) reward you all for your support and mercy. Our work is only possible through your du'as and donations. Please keep us in your prayers!
