The History of the Ka'bah

Muslim Hands

Hajj 2022 is almost here! We've created a video series to take you through the process of Hajj as if you were really going on this journey of a lifetime.

Before we set off on our journey, it's important to brush up on our knowledge of the place we are visiting: the Ka'bah, the first place of worship on this earth. Did you know that the vast majority of the prophets (as) also performed the Hajj? It is a tradition which stretches back centuries - and honouring and caring for the Ka'bah itself is also a significant tradition.

We hope you enjoyed the above video - please do check out the rest of the video series!

Also, remember to share this beneficial knowledge with friends and family! As the Prophet (saw) said, 'Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it'. [Muslim]

We pray we all get the chance to visit Makkah and Madinah in person, amin!

When is Hajj 2025?

This year, Dhul-Hijjah is expected to begin on 28th May 2025.

This means that Hajj will begin on 4th June 2025 (8th Dhul-Hijjah), the Day of ’Arafah will fall on 5th June 2025 (9th Dhul-Hijjah), and Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on 6th June 2025 (10th Dhul-Hijjah). All dates are subject to moonsighting.
