  • We have a head office in Nottingham and a second office in London (Limehouse). This position is remote for now.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high quality copy for our main website including appeal pages, donation items and Google landing pages
  • Maintaining the written content on the site, ensuring that copy is regularly updated and that it is of a consistently high standard across all pages
  • Liaising with our Programmes department to research the latest developments in our work, both in the UK and internationally, and transforming this into high quality written feedback for our donors
  • Assisting the Senior Editor and Social Media Team with content strategies and campaign planning
  • Providing copy support across the organisation, when needed

Essential Skills:

  • A skilled copywriter with a talent for producing fun, engaging content
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Excellent team player
  • Experience of creating and maintaining social media ad campaigns
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and an interest in the latest developments across these platforms
  • Passion for charity/third sector

General Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all tasks and duties in an effective, efficient, transparent and wholly accountable manner
  • Demonstrate Muslim Hands’ values and ethics in own working practices, approach and conduct
  • To support with fundraising activities from time-to-time, including occasionally helping with Live TV Appeals during our peak periods
  • Undertake any reasonable responsibilities as required by your Line Manager
  • Promote and adhere to all Muslim Hands policies, procedures and professional practices

General Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate current eligibility to work within the United Kingdom
  • Ability to provide a valid DBS certificate (issued within the last year) when requested by Muslim Hands; OR Undertake to provide full cooperation for Muslim Hands to perform a DBS Check at the required level appropriate for this / similar role
  • Willingness to undergo and provide satisfactory background verification checks and demonstrate appreciation for and compliance with anti-fraud and anti-bribery policies and practices
