Position Summary

Main Responsibilities:

  • The Internal Auditor will monitor the effectiveness of risk management and internal control environment at Muslim Hands. This will involve helping to draw up internal strategy, audit plans and audit methodologies, as well as providing real-time assurance working with Muslim Hands teams to assist them in assessing and mitigating risks.
  • The Internal Auditor will ensure Muslim Hands' policies, procedures and systems remain fit for purpose, and risks are mitigated and managed.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to demonstrate Eligibility to Work in the UK
  • Possess experience in internal communication, reporting, documentation and internal publication
  • Possess excellent writing, editing and speaking skills
  • Be well-versed in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Be well-versed in IT software such as intranet and internal communication systems
  • CIAA-qualified
  • Apply the relevant portions of the International Professional Practices Framework
  • Apply an understanding of the technical aspects of finance and accounting appropriate to the organisation when communicating with others
  • Apply an understanding of management accounting appropriate to the organisation when communicating with others
  • Apply an understanding of organisational and management theory to the organisation
  • Apply an understanding of the regulatory and legal framework within which the organisation operates
