‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) used to command us to fast the Three Bright Days (Al-Ayyam Al-Bid), the 13th, 14th and 15th [of every lunar month]’. [Nasa’i]

On the three middle nights of every lunar month, the moon is full and circular. They are thus known as the ‘shining nights’ or the ‘bright days’.

SubhanAllah, the Prophet (saw) used to fast these days every lunar month! He did this even when he was travelling.

Join us in reviving this neglected Sunnah! For extra motivation: you can donate the money you would have spent on food! Every £5 you give will provide bread to SEVENTY people in war-torn Yemen and Syria!

This Shaban, the Three Bright Days will fall on March 16th, 17th and 18th, so make sure to fast these days – and encourage others to fast these days too!

Registration is FREE - set up your fundraising page today!

Reviving the Sunnah

‘Whoever revives my Sunnah then he has loved me. And whoever loved me, he shall be with me in Paradise’. [Tirmidhi]

SubhanAllah, fasting the Three Bright Days is the perfect way to revive the Sunnah and show our love for the Prophet (saw). If you are unable to fast this month – why not sponsor a child to fast instead? You’ll be instilling in them a love of the Prophet (saw), and hopefully creating a life-long habit which you will both earn reward for!

Moreover, the Three Bright Days Challenge is an excellent way to demonstrate our love for the Ummah. The people of Yemen and Syria were particularly beloved to the Prophet (saw) and they need our help. By sponsoring your child £5 for each fast (or donating the money yourself), you will be providing SEVENTY people with bread in the blessed lands. That’s a lot of love for the Ummah – and also a lot of love for the Prophet (saw)!

Don’t miss out on reviving this Sunnah! The Three Bright Days of Shaban will fall on March 16th, 17th and 18th.

Q. What do I need to do?

A. When you fast the Three Bright Days, you can either:
