Join Us For The Big Aid Convoy Send-Off Ceremony

Muslim Hands

On Thursday 29th June 2017 at 2.30pm, Muslim Hands will be hosting the Big Aid Convoy Send-Off Ceremony in Nottingham’s Forest Recreation Ground on Gregory Boulevard.

Families across Syria are still crucially in need of humanitarian assistance. This Ramadan, we called on our donors to donate towards our Big Aid Convoy to send vital food aid to Syrian families who have been displaced by the devastating ongoing conflict within the region.

Six years since the start of the Syrian conflict, over half the country’s population has been left in need of urgent humanitarian assistance. Hospitals, schools and bakeries have been destroyed by heavy bombing and violence, whilst hundreds of thousands have been killed and millions more have been forced to flee their homes.

Between the 15th June and 25th June 2017, 19 large shipping containers were located at various mosque car parks across England for people to donate rice, flour and tinned food. The response from our donors was amazing: all containers were filled up in a very short period of time, some within a day or two.

Muslim Hands has been working in Syria since 2012 and with your help, we’ve delivered a continuous supply of life-saving emergency aid as well as supporting Syrian families with education, healthcare and livelihoods projects. With the Big Aid Convoy, we are aiming to reach many more families in need.
