Lifesaving Bread in Yemen
Despite talks of a ceasefire in Yemen, sadly, after eight years of conflict, large parts of the country have been destroyed and countless Yemenis have lost everything. Hunger and malnutrition are a horrific reality for millions of people and children are the most affected. Every ten minutes, a child dies from preventable causes in Yemen.
With your generous support, we have built not one, but five bread factories in Yemen, providing a whopping 50,000 loaves of bread every day. These Blessed Bakeries are prioritising the most vulnerable people, including widows, orphans and people with disabilities.
After being displaced multiple times, sister Fatimah and her seven children struggled to get by because of the scarcity of food and water. Alhamdulillah, our bread factories in Yemen are now providing them with daily bread - a huge relief for her family. Watch now to hear from Fatimah how the bread has helped them:
There are countless more families still struggling to feed themselves – 60% of the population have no idea where their next meal will come from. You can help us change their situation, just like you did with Fatimah’s family.
Our Blessed Bakeries are stationed in locations where the need is dire including in north Aden, south Aden, north Ma’rib, south Ma’rib and Seiyun. Your donations are saving lives every day, but we need your support to continue running this vital project, especially as global food prices have put basic food items even further out of reach for so many Yemenis. Every £100 you donate will provide 500 vulnerable people with life-saving bread. Help us fight hunger in Yemen today.
