Vintage Tea Party: How to stay healthy this Ramadan

Muslim Hands is hosting an exclusive vintage tea party: How to stay healthy this Ramadan, all in of supporting our Food4Kids campaign - providing meals to children in order to keep them strong and healthy.

We have an inspiring line up of amazing guests, who will all be supporting this vital cause with their knowledge and experience. The evening will cover how to stay healthy this Ramadan, and a talk on influential women in Islam.

Our Special Guest

Syeda Hana

Syeda Hana is a female only Personal Trainer at PureGym in Rochdale. Fitness and nutrition have been her passions since being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis 3 years ago. She says,

“Going to the gym was an escape from the physical and mental pain I was going through. After a few months, I realised how much I actually enjoyed doing exercise and it improved my confidence, which motivated me to do more within the fitness industry.

Being a Personal Trainer with a chronic illness has helped me understand the difficulties some may go through in doing the most basic exercises. However, with the correct motivation and training, an individual can do more than they think. Whether it's an illness that stops you, or just overall confidence within a gym, I aim to help individuals with their personal challenges with encouragement and motivation. I also aim to provide a service to Muslimahs of various ages that struggle with fitness and nutrition, and may need a little push in the right direction.

My fitness moto is "strive for progress not perfection".'

Food4Kids

At Muslim Hands we know that the long term effects of hunger run deep and can cripple whole communities. Endemic malnutrition leads to poor health and increased school drop-out rates. This in turn leads to continued poverty and the vicious cycle continues from one generation to the next.

We are currently providing over 11,000 meals a day, but there is much more to be done. With your generous support, we can reach even more children with the support they need to keep them strong and healthy through their daily lives.
