Ruislip Muslim Mums

Started in 2017, 'Ruislip Muslim Mums' (RMM) is a non-profit community cohesion initiative with the primary purpose of bringing the local community closer together by educating and celebrating Muslim festivities and occasions. By giving Muslim Mums a voice we feel we can educate ourselves better and be a positive influence on society.

RMM is a platform for Muslim Mums in Ruislip and the surrounding areas to share ideas, concerns, recipes, and organise events and activities for the local community. Having organised several events in the past which have catered for all members of the community, those of faith and no faith with the sole intention being to integrate the community better and celebrate events such as Ramadan and Eid together.

This Ramadan Bazaar is our first Ramadan Bazaar and we are proud to have Muslim Hands sponsor our event.

Save Rohingya Refugees

It’s been estimated by the UN that since 25th August 2017, almost 685,000 Rohingya refugees have crossed over into Bangladesh as their villages – and with it their homes and livelihoods – have been burnt, with 400,000 more men, women and children left displaced inside Myanmar itself.

With ongoing unrest in the region for many years, a total of one million Rohingya refugees have fled Myanmar to escape persecution and now hundreds of thousands of people in the area have now also been left without regular access to food.

At Muslim Hands, we’ve been supporting families in Myanmar since 2008, providing essential aid, including Ramadan and Qurbani aid, and also building shelter homes for displaced men, women and children.

As thousands of families find themselves in crisis, we’re now calling on you to help support our work and help provide essential aid for Rohingya refugees in desperate need.
