The Reality

Every child deserves to have a healthy start in life. But in Gaza, the violent conflict and on-going blockade means that new-born babies and children don’t have access to the medical care they desperately need – costing them their lives.
With the memories of war and witnessing loved ones killed, a generation of children in the Gaza strip are now on the brink of a mental health crisis.
• Gaza has higher than average rates of neonatal and maternal mortality
• Neonatal intensive care units have become overcrowded and maternal malnutrition means the rising rates of premature and low weight babies
• 95% of children in Gaza show deep psychological stress
So stand with us this winter, shoulder to shoulder to not only restore the hope and dignity of these children – but to save the lives of future generations in Gaza.
