Winter Distributions, The Open Kitchen 2nd Anniversary & more! Check out our weekly update
Assalamu alaikum!
We've had a busy end to the year, with our annual winter distributions beginning, alhamdulilah! Your support will help provide winter blankets, food and fuel for warmth and cooking to those most in need during these cold months. Our teams will be on the ground in locations such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Kashmir and the UK.
The Open Kitchen in Hounslow also celebrated its 2nd anniversary - it's stayed open every single day since the 8th December 2018 and has provided 100,000 meals in that period. During the peak of the COVID pandemic, the Open Kitchen doubled its monthly meals to 6000. We thank you for your immense support and pray Allah swt accepts the efforts of our donors, volunteers and staff.
We've also had images from our country offices around the world, updating us on all your tube wells they're building, food distributions, COVID awareness workshops & so much more. Let's take a look:

The Prophet (saw) said, ‘Any believer who clothes a naked believer, Allah will clothe him from the green [garments] of Jannah’. [Tirmidhi]

Our teams are still on the ground distributing your aid to the Ethiopian refugees in Sudan. This includes hygiene packs, plastic mats and sheets.
Alhamdulilah you've helped to raise nearly £20,000 to support those fleeing conflict in Ethiopia, we need your continued supporting to continue helping those most in need.

The hygiene kits include hand sanitiser, masks, alcohol wipes, and gloves - which will also keep them safe!

The Guardian this week reported that, 'an estimated 2 million families, including a million children, likely to struggle to afford to feed themselves, stay warm, or keep clean as the recession deepens'.
Now is the time to come together and open our hearts for others.

The Prophet (saw) said, 'He who does not thank the people is not thankful to Allah'. [Abu Dawud]
Thank you for all your love and support!

The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]

The gift of water saves lives, which is a hugely rewardable action. Allah says in the Qur’an, ‘And whoever saves one [a life] - it is as if he had saved all of mankind’. (Qur’an, 5:32) Imagine this - every single time the clean water you donated saves someone’s life, it is as if you have saved all of mankind!
