This year, the anniversary of the miraculous Al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj falls on the night of Wednesday March 10th 2021. SubhanAllah, the Prophet (saw) witnessed some of the greatest signs of Allah (swt) on this journey - and it's important for us to learn all about them!
Alhamdulillah, we are delighted to present you with our brand-new series, The Miraculous Night Journey! In partnership with TV One, Yasrab Shah (our Director of Fundraising) takes us through the incredible narrations regarding Al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj, when the Prophet (saw) was transported to the Blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa and ascended through the skies.

Episode 1: The Context of Al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj
Al-Isra wal-Mi‘raj is the second-greatest miracle bestowed upon the Prophet (saw), after the Noble Qur’an. In this episode, we explain the context in which this miracle took place.
Allah sent this miracle after the Year of Sorrow (‘Aam al-Huzn), in which the Prophet (saw) lost both Khadijah (ra) his beloved wife, and Abu Talib, his uncle and protector. Their passing away was followed by the upsetting incident at Taif.
Al-Isra wal-Mi'raj is the perfect example of a beautiful ayah, 'Indeed, with the hardship there is ease'. [The Noble Qur’an, 94:1]

Episode 2: The Night Journey in the Noble Qur'an
Allah (swt) mentions the Miraculous Night Journey in Surah Isra’, saying:
'Glory be to the One Who took His servant [saw] by night from al-Masjid al-Haram (in Makkah) to al-Masjid al-Aqsa (in al-Quds), whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him some of Our signs…' [The Noble Qur’an, 17:1]

The Ahadith about al-Isra’ wal-Mi‘raj make up more than half of the Ahadith from the time the Prophet (saw) spent in Makkah before the migration (Hijrah)!

Episode 6: Entering the Blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa
Over 1,400 years ago, a truly amazing and unique congregational prayer took place in the Blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa! The Archangel Jibril (as) called the adhan, the Prophet (saw) was the Imam, and 124,000 Prophets (as) stood behind him to worship Allah (swt)!

Episode 7: The Mi'raj Begins!
The Mi‘raj begins at the Noble Rock, from which the Prophet (saw) ascends though the seven layers of sky from the end of the known universe. With Jibril (as) at his side, he (saw) is about to meet numerous angels (as) and prophets (as).

Episode 9: Ascending Through More Skies
SubhanAllah, the narration of Al-Isra’ wal-Mi‘raj continues to amaze us!
In Episode 9, the Prophet (saw) continues to meet the prophets (as), including Yusuf (as) and Harun (as). All the prophets (as) are greeting him by saying, 'Welcome, O righteous Prophet and righteous brother!' (Except Adam (as) and Ibrahim (as), who beautifully welcome him as a 'righteous son').
Episode 10: The Pinnacle of Al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj
In the final episode of this series, we discuss what happened after the Prophet (saw) ascended to the seventh sky. At this point, without Jibril (as), the Prophet (saw) ascends into the Presence of Allah…several times!
