Navigating Humanitarian Aid Delivery into Gaza: Your Impact with Muslim Hands

As the conflict in Gaza persists, concerns over the delivery of humanitarian aid have become a global focus. At Muslim Hands, we understand the importance of transparency and accountability in ensuring that your donations reach those you intended to reach. Let's explore how your contributions are making a difference on the ground in Gaza.

Are Donations Reaching Gaza?

You may be wondering whether your donations are effectively reaching the people of Gaza amidst the ongoing challenges. The answer is unequivocally yes.

We have seen coverage on our social media outlets, that aid is piled along the border of Gaza with Egypt, unable to make it through to Gaza, and that is true for many organizations who did not have a base in Gaza prior to the war.  However, Muslim Hands has been in partnership with UNRWA for many years now and has been implementing various humanitarian projects including orphan sponsorships, health and water sanitation and many more.

So, when the war started, Muslim Hands was involved from the very first minute in providing vital aid through our long-established partnership.

Despite unpredictable restrictions and varying entry protocols, humanitarian aid is currently entering Gaza via the Rafah border crossing as well as via Karem Abou Salem (Karem Shalom) border crossing. Although, it must be said, there is nowhere near the aid needed to fulfil the needs of the entire displaced population.

How Does Aid Reach Gaza?

Each day, trucks laden with essential supplies traverse the complex route from the Egyptian side of the Rafah border to reach Gaza. Upon arrival, they undergo meticulous inspections and scrutiny before being allowed entry. While this process is arduous, our dedicated partners, through their logistical capacity ensure that your aid reaches its destination.

The aid is then distributed among the civilians sheltering into UNRWA’s facilities, such as schools and hospitals, as well as to those civilians seeking shelter in Al-Mawasi refugee camps.

Challenges in Aid Delivery

The journey of aid trucks is riddled with challenges. From extensive inspections to arbitrary rejection of shipments, the process often leads to delays and limitations in aid distribution. However, despite these obstacles, our partner persists in delivering vital provisions to the two million Palestinians in Gaza.

Our Commitment to the innocent civilians in Gaza

At Muslim Hands, we remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting the people of Gaza. Through our Gaza Emergency Fund, your donations enable us to provide food, water, winter relief, and medical aid to those in need.

We continue to advocate for increased aid access through multiple entry points to alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

You have been incredibly generous in supporting our fundraising campaign for Gaza. Over £2 million has already been sent to alleviate our brothers and sisters suffering in on the ground. Your contributions play a crucial role in providing some much-needed relief.

With your support, Muslim Hands remains dedicated to delivering humanitarian aid and advocating for the well-being of those affected by the onslaught. Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of Palestinians and ensure that hope prevails amidst adversity.
