Provide food, healthcare and education to communities in crisis

Why does Afghanistan need our help?

Decades of conflict, economic collapse and repeated natural disasters have left Afghanistan in one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises. Millions of families are struggling to survive as food insecurity, extreme poverty and malnutrition continue to worsen.

We have been working alongside communities in Afghanistan since 1994. With your support, we can continue delivering life-saving emergency aid while investing in long-term recovery and resilience.

Who is most affected?

  • Mothers and Children

Mothers and young children are at high risk of malnutrition and suffer from a lack of access to specialised healthcare.

  • Displaced families and returnees

Many have lost homes or livelihoods, arriving with nothing and needing urgent shelter, food and support.

  • Rural communities

Often hit hardest by drought, climate disasters and lack of services, rural communities are also the most isolated from vital services and support networks.

  • Women and girls

Women and girls face heightened vulnerability due to gendered restrictions, limited access to services and increased protection risks.

The Prophet (saw) said, 'If anyone removes his brother's anxiety of this world, Allah will remove for him one of the anxieties of the Day of resurrection.'

[Abu Dawud]
