The situation in Syria Today
After nearly 14 years of crisis, Syrian families are still struggling to survive and rebuild their lives. Millions remain displaced or are returning home to communities where homes, livelihoods and essential services have been destroyed.
Food insecurity is widespread, safe shelter is scarce and community spaces that once provided stability and support have been lost.

Humanitarian need
After years of conflict, millions of Syrians face extreme hardship. Families struggle to access food, clean water and medical care, while many remain displaced or living in unsafe conditions. Syrian communities still need your support.
Displacement
More than 7 million people are displaced within Syria (IDPs), while millions more live as refugees in neighbouring countries. Many are trying to return home, but those homes are often unliveable and vital infrastructure in many neighbourhoods is completely destroyed.
Strained health system
Many medical facilities are non-functional. There are growing outbreaks of diseases like cholera, limited access to clean water and shortages of medicines and healthcare personnel.
Collapsed economy
Around 90% of the population lives below the poverty line. Inflation, limited access to energy, and damaged infrastructure make it hard for people to afford even basic essentials.

Food packs
Our food packs provide essential nourishment to families struggling with hunger across Syria. Each pack contains staple items such as rice, flour, oil, sugar, lentils and tinned food — enough to feed a family for an entire month.
Family housing project
Many Syrian families have lost their homes to the conflict. You can support the renovation of homes giving families warmth, security and dignity.
Umayyad Masjid renovation
The Umayyad Masjid is at the historic and spiritual heart of Damascus. Unfortunately, it was was damaged in the conflict, but you can support essential renovations to preserve its heritage and keep it as a place of worship and community for generations.
