Feeding people for over thirty years

Hunger is the most extreme form of poverty and has many far-reaching consequences. Lack of access to nutritious food causes serious illness and can ultimately lead to death.

Help us fight hunger by providing nutritious food to people suffering from food insecurity around the world and here in the UK. You can also empower families to farm their own food in order to feed themselves over the long term.

Bakhita's story

"There are times we have no food other than this bread".

Bakhita and her family have been displaced four times already, and living in a displacement camp makes it hard to work or find food. Without the Muslim Hands' Blessed Bakeries providing daily bread to the people of Yemen, Bakhita and her family would go hungry.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people in the world are suffering from hunger today?

In 2024, an estimated 673 million people faced hunger worldwide, that's about 8.2% of the global population according to the latest UN State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World report.

Why are hunger levels still so high?

Hunger persists because of conflicts, economic shocks, climate change, inflation, and disrupted food systems. These combined crises have slowed global progress toward ending hunger.

Who are the most vulnerable to hunger?

Children, women, refugees, displaced populations, and people in conflict-affected or climate-impacted regions are among the most vulnerable. Malnutrition in childhood can have lifelong health and developmental consequences.

How can donations make a difference?

Donations help provide emergency food assistance, support sustainable agriculture, improve supply chains, and invest in long-term community resilience - saving lives now and empowering communities to thrive in the future.
