Masjid Al-Aqsa: Light One Musalla (Prayer Space)
The Prophet (saw) was asked, 'If one of us cannot visit it [Al-Aqsa], what should we do?' He (saw) said, 'Then he should make a gift of some oil to be lit therein [in its lamps]. For indeed the one who gifts this to it, will be like the one who has prayed therein'. (Ahmad)
The lighting system of the historic Qibali Masjid Grand Prayer Hall was installed in 1986, and the old wiring means there is a risk of fire. We are hugely honoured to be working closely with The Hashemite Fund for the Restoration of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock to install a new, state-of-the-art lighting system in Masjid Al-Aqsa.
We’re now fundraising to illuminate the front rows of the masjid, where the Prophet Muhammad (saw) himself stood in prayer! We're really excited to be lighting up this blessed space, so for every £250 donation you give, we'll gift you a bottle of olive oil - from the olive trees of Al-Aqsa! (Note: if you give £500, we'll gift you TWO bottles of olive oil!)
Allah swears by these olive trees in the Qur'an, so their oil is truly priceless. It can NEVER be sold; it can only be gifted - and we're delighted to offer you this amazing gift! Stocks are limited: don't miss out on this opportunity!
£500 illuminates 1 musalla (prayer space for 1 worshipper) or 10 square feet of this blessed space.
