Gift Aid
Increase the value of your donations at no cost to youWhat is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a scheme to encourage people to participate in charitable giving. If you pay Income or Capital Gains Tax in the UK you are eligible for the scheme.
Gift Aid will not cost you or us anything. It simply means that we can claim an additional 25p from the Government for every £1 you donate.
For example, if you donate £100 to Muslim Hands and make a Gift Aid declaration, we will receive an additional £25 in Gift Aid making your donation worth £125.
To be eligible you must pay Income or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the amount of Gift Aid all charities will claim on your donations otherwise you will be responsible for paying any difference. You can request from us at any time the value of Gift Aid claimed. You can also notify us using the forms below if you circumstances change and you are no longer eligible for Gift Aid.
You can tell us if you’d like us to claim Gift Aid when making your donation online or over the phone. You can also do this at any time by completing the form below or by calling our donor care team on 0115 911 7222.
