Delete your Muslim Hands account
You can ask us to delete your Muslim Hands account, the account you sign in to on our website and in the Muslim Hands UK app, at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.
How to ask for your account to be deleted
1. Email dpo@muslimhands.org.uk from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account". Or call our donor care team on 0115 911 7222.
2. We will confirm your identity, then delete your account within one month of your request.
3. We will email you to confirm when it is done.
What we delete
Your account and your sign-in details.
Your contact preferences and the details saved in your account.
Your name, email address and phone number, where we do not need to keep them for the reasons below.
What we keep, and for how long
Records of your donations and any Gift Aid declarations. The law requires us to keep these for seven years (HMRC rules for Gift Aid), after which they are deleted.
If you have asked us not to contact you, we keep the minimum details needed on a suppression list, so that we do not contact you again.
