Reap the rewards of your charity for years to come.

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim)

Sadaqah Jariyah literally means ‘a continuous, ongoing, flowing charity’. While Sadaqah benefits the person who receives it on one occasion, Sadaqah Jariyah continues to benefit the recipient(s) for a long time.

Thus, you will receive countless rewards for a single donation, even after you have passed away. You can even give on behalf of a deceased loved one, as they will continue to gain reward from it for as long as people benefit from it.

With offices in over 30 locations, we have a wide variety of Sadaqah Jariyah projects in water, healthcare, education, livelihoods, and much more.

From building water wells for poor communities in Africa, to planting olive trees for Palestinian farmers, we are honoured to facilitate your generous Sadaqah Jariyah donations and help you create a beautiful legacy. Your support will transform thousands of lives for generations to come, in sha’ Allah.

Giving Water: The Best Charity

‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]

We use water for everything, from washing dishes to cooking food to growing crops. Allah says, ‘By means of water, we give life to everything’. (Qur’an, 21:30) Communities who don’t have access to clean water face unimaginable hardships; their health, education and livelihoods suffer, trapping each generation in a tragic cycle of poverty.

By giving water, you can make a difference to families in need for generations to come, bringing the entire community back to life. From building a community well to contributing to our Safe Water Fund, we have projects for every budget across Africa, Asia and the Middle East! Having access to safe water is a basic human right and fulfilling this right is an excellent Sadaqah.

Four Pieces of Advice For Every Muslim who Has Lost a Loved One

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’oon‘Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we are returning’. [The Noble Qur’an, 2:156]

The last year has been one of tremendous trials and tribulations. Many of us have lost loved ones to COVID-19. We pray Allah (swt) grants them all the highest ranks of Jannah, may He illuminate their graves and grant beautiful patience ‘Sabr Jameel’ to their loved ones. Ameen!

Death is the only thing promised in life. We lose ourselves in this temporary world, forgetting that we shall soon return to our Creator, with the death of loved ones being a sign that indeed none of us are here forever.
